Defatted Rice Bran Parboiled Rice Hulls

Rice Feed Ingredients and Hulls

Riceland Foods, Inc. markets defatted rice bran and hulls as ingredients for livestock feed. Riceland livestock feed products are produced through the cooperative's milling and processing operations at its Arkansas milling centers in Stuttgart and Jonesboro.

Defatted rice bran also is sold as an ingredient for the pet food industry. Rice hulls are used as a pressing aid in fruit juice extraction and as bedding in poultry houses.

For more information on the feed ingredients and rice hull products that Riceland can provide, please contact Sherry Brantley, sales manager rice feed ingredients, at sbrantley@riceland.com or call 1-870-673-5314.

Defatted Rice Bran is full fat bran that has gone through an extrusion process, where as much oil as possible is extracted from the full fat rice bran through a hexane extraction process. The defatted rice bran is then dried and ground into a consistency suitable for feed ingredients.
