Commodity Futures Trading Commission held hearings this week in Washington to address position limits and hedge exemptions.

Generally satisfactory weather continues for final harvest of the U.S. winter wheat crop. In the Western portion of the U.S. spring wheat crop it turned hotter this week which caused some concern with dryness.

Tight soy supplies and big soy demand in China is lifting the market in addition to support from a weak dollar and higher crude oil. The August / November spread is under pressure as traders take some profits after big gains this week.

Crops on the Grand Prairie look great with the timely rain and sunshine they are receiving. More of the same weather is forecast in the near future.
