This week the CBOT had some up days and some down days. The favorable weather and strong dollar contributed to the down days and potential weather concerns and crude oil gains helped to stabilize the market some at the end of the week.
Adequate soil moisture and favorable weather have helped the crops progress in the recent weeks, but now the forecast is calling for cooler weather which will slow the crop maturity.
Crude oil on Friday is up over $74/barrel which gave way for some gains today along with the precious metals adding some support.
Some farmers on the Grand Prairie have started to drain rice. With the favorable weather in the forecast harvest is right around the corner.
