The CBOT soybeans are higher today supported by very bullish fundamentals. The tight nearby soybean stocks continue to add strength to the September contract while the deferred months are  gaining ground because of the inability to know what the potential yields will be. The threat of an early frost is keeping weather rumors in the front of everyone’s mind. An early frost would have an impact on yields, but if the Midwest escapes an early freeze then we will have a huge incoming crop. The potential to not have a freeze has been putting pressure on the prices and attracting some profit taking on days with price hikes.

Weakness in the crude oil market and strength in the dollar has also helped keep a huge rally from happening. The precious metals are also on the rise with strength in the dollar.

Favorable weather is in the forecast for the next few days, but with cooler temperatures than needed.
