The Chicago Board of Trade made some gains this week due to some untimely thunderstorms that came across the U.S. The periodic showers also have been maintaining soil moisture reserves in most areas.
Losses in crude oil and strength in the dollar weighed some on the market keeping a lid on a huge rally.
Satisfactory weather continues for final harvest of the U.S. winter wheat crop and showers combined with below normal temperature conductive to filling spring wheat.
The warmer weather in the U.S. Midwest is seen favorable to the developing and pollinating corn and soybean crop. The hot spell expected this weekend is suppose to be brief and not cause much harm.
More favorable weather is in the near forecast.
