The CBOT traded mixed on Friday due to the uncertainty of weather concerns and actually getting harvest back underway. The U.S. Department of Agriculture has projected a record soybean harvest and near record corn crop, but both crops are about 2 – 3 weeks behind in their maturity due to the cool weather we’ve been experiencing.

The dollar gained Thursday against the euro after central banks said they would scale back some emergency programs that have injected trillions into banks as financial markets stabilize. Friday took away all the gains the dollar made. The G20 summit pledged to continue emergency stimulus spending until a recovery takes hold.

Oil prices took a dive below $66 barrel as weak U.S. homes sales data and high crude oil inventories and top energy consumers stirred doubts about a potential fuel demand recovery.

Harvest has been delayed shortly because of the rains recently, but an expectation for good harvest activity in the next 10 days in Arkansas is weighing on the market.

The Forecast for the next 5 days calls for sunshine and temperatures in the high 70’s and low 80’s.
