Ingredients
- 1 Tablspoon. butter or margarine
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup uncooked Riceland Long-Grain White Rice
- 2-1/2 cups chicken broth
- 1 can (15 ounce) Great Northern beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
- 1/2 cup grated fresh Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1/4 teaspoons black pepper
Preparation
1. In medium saucepan, melt butter.
2. Cook onion in butter over low heat until golden brown, about 7 minutes.
3. Stir in rice, chicken broth, beans and basil. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to simmer.
4. Cover and cook 15 minutes or until rice is tender.
5. Stir in remaining ingredients.
