Better-Than-Boston Baked Beans
1 can (1lb 4oz) vegetarian beans in tomato sauce
1 cup ketchup
3 teaspoons dried mustard
2 cups cooked Riceland Extra Long Grain Rice
¾ cup water
¼ cup firmly packed light brown sugar (less if your canned beans have high sugar content)
4-5 partially cooked turkey bacon slices, halved
- Combine all ingredients except bacon slices. Add salt to taste if you are using low sodium ketchup or beans.
- Place partially cooked bacon slices over the top.
- Bake in prepared 1.5-quart oven dish in 425F oven about 50 minutes or until most of the water is absorbed.
