1 cup Riceland Natural Brown Rice
1 to 2 cloves fresh garlic, finley chopped
1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh ginger
2 Tablespoons Riceland Rice Bran Oil or Light Olive Oil

2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
1/4 cup fresh parsley
1/4 cup freshly grated Romano cheese

Preparation

  1. Prepare rice according to package directions.
  2. Saute garlic and ginger in oil until brown. Add rice and Italian seasoning into garlic, ginger mixture and saute 3-5 minutes until rice is slightly crispy.
  3. Fold in parsley
  4. Sprinkle with Romano cheese. Serves 6.

NOTE: This rice also works great as a fritter or rice cake. Form into round 1" thick molds and freeze. Heat vegetable oil in cast iron skillet and fry frozen cakes 2-3 minutes on each side until brown and crispy. Pairs great with marinara sauce or tomato soup!
