1 cup Riceland Natural Brown Rice
1 to 2 cloves fresh garlic, finley chopped
1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh ginger
2 Tablespoons Riceland Rice Bran Oil or Light Olive Oil
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
1/4 cup fresh parsley
1/4 cup freshly grated Romano cheese
- Prepare rice according to package directions.
- Saute garlic and ginger in oil until brown. Add rice and Italian seasoning into garlic, ginger mixture and saute 3-5 minutes until rice is slightly crispy.
- Fold in parsley
- Sprinkle with Romano cheese. Serves 6.
NOTE: This rice also works great as a fritter or rice cake. Form into round 1" thick molds and freeze. Heat vegetable oil in cast iron skillet and fry frozen cakes 2-3 minutes on each side until brown and crispy. Pairs great with marinara sauce or tomato soup!
